TW Push Program (4th-8th Grade)

Rotating Between Twin Falls & Jerome
TW Push is designed for self-motivated wrestlers who are ready to compete hard, work with intensity, and take their wrestling to the next level. These practices are every Friday and rotate between Twin Falls and Jerome. These practices mirror the pace, focus, and discipline of a high school wrestling room and is built for athletes who want to be pushed, challenged, and held to a higher standard. Athletes are expected to stay locked in, drill hard, listen well, and bring consistent effort.
Practices will feature advanced drill systems, high-intensity conditioning, and competitive techniques that build chain-wrestling, toughness, resilience, and a strong competitive mindset. Training sessions are run in a smaller, focused group setting, allowing for sharper instruction and a faster pace. Communication will be direct and intentional, and every practice is designed to push athletes beyond their comfort zones.
Requirements
To join TW Push, wrestlers must:
Be an intermediate/experienced wrestler
Have at least 2 years of wrestling experience
Be self-motivated, disciplined, and follow instruction well
Maintain focus and effort throughout practice
Show a willingness to grind and be pushed
Who It’s For
4th–8th graders
Wrestlers who have a serious approach to the sport
Kids who want a training room that matches the intensity of high-level wrestling
Athletes looking to grow, compete hard, and elevate their performance
TW Push is for wrestlers who want more — more intensity, more accountability, more development, and more opportunity to become their best.
The expectation is commitment and consistency. This program will not serve your athlete well with sporadic attendance. If you sign up for the TW Push Program, it is recommended that you attend 3-4 practices per week, with the Friday “Push Practice” being a priority.

USA Wrestling Membership Requirement:
TW Wrestling is a USA Wrestling Chartered Club. This means all participants are required to have an active USA Wrestling Athlete Membership ($20) to attend practices. This membership not only helps protect TW Wrestling and its athletes but also includes essential insurance coverage for both liability and secondary medical expenses.
You will need to purchase the 'Limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership' for $20 in order for your athlete to attend TW Wrestling practices. Additionally, all tournaments during the season will be sanctioned by USA Wrestling, so this membership is also required for your athlete to compete in local tournaments.
Follow the steps below to purchase a USA Wrestling membership for your athlete:
Create a free account (you will create an account under the parent's name and then create profiles for your wrestlers).
Go to 'Manage' then 'Profiles'
If your wrestler has not had a USA membership before you will create a new profile.
If they've had a USA membership before then you will "claim" your wrestler's USA profile.
You will create or claim a profile for all your wrestlers and have them under your account.
After you create or claim all your profiles go to "memberships" to purchase your USA Athlete Membership.
Types of memberships:
Limited Folkstyle Athlete Membership ($20)
Purchase this option if you plan on attending TW Wrestling practices, or competing in local Folkstyle tournaments within Idaho only.
Includes $50,000 in secondary sports accident insurance.
Note: Upgrade to Full Athlete Membership if planning to compete regionally or nationally.
Note: If needed, you can upgrade memberships at a later date by paying the difference.
Full Athlete Membership ($65)
Purchase this option if you plan to attend TW Wrestling practices and compete in regional/national events (e.g., Utah) or if you plan to wrestle Freestyle after the Folkstyle season ends (April-May).
Includes $100,000 in secondary sports accident insurance.
Follow instructions on the page to purchase your card.

• Little Grapplers (K-3rd Grade): This group focuses solely on learning and gaining an athletic foundation. We don't emphasize competing at tournaments in this age group. Instead, we believe this age should concentrate on learning wrestling, enhancing their motor skills, growing stronger, and having fun. Live wrestling and competitive activities will be conducted in our practice setting.
• Youth & Middle School (4th-8th Grade): This group focuses on competition, improving wrestling skills, repetitions, higher intensity, developing toughness, and having fun while doing hard things. First year wrestlers in this group are not recommended to compete at tournaments. My recommendation is to let them get 1-season of practices under their belt before they compete at a tournament.
• Schedule: A tournament schedule will be posted in the wrestling room and sent out via the Band app, and emailed once the schedule is finalized. Athletes are not required to compete at every tournament, but are encouraged to compete throughout the club season.
• Saturdays: Tournaments are typically on Saturdays with the occasional Friday night. Different age groups will start at different times.
• Transportation: Parents are responsible for getting their athletes to and from the tournaments.
• USA Wrestling Athlete Membership: Most of the tournaments during this youth season will be sanctioned by USA wrestling. In order to compete at an USA Wrestling tournament you’ll need to purchase a USA Athlete Membership for insurance purposes and to register for tournaments: https://www.usawmembership.com/
• Trackwrestling & Entry Fees: Parents are responsible for registering their athletes for each tournament. This is usually done through https://www.trackwrestling.com/ where you’ll register for the event and pay the tournament entry fee. I will send out tournament registration links when they go live and registration is open.
-
• Shoes: You’re encouraged to purchase a pair of wrestling shoes. No other shoes are allowed on the wrestling mats. If you cannot purchase a pair, kids are okay to practice in their socks. If you plan on competing at tournaments, then having your own pair of wrestling shoes is highly recommended.
• Team Gear: Athletes will have the option to purchase a club wrestling t-shirt and additional team gear when the store link is provided
• Competition Uniforms: We will offer fight shorts and a rashguard bundle for our team competition uniforms. This will be available through our team gear store when it is open. This is optional and not requited in order to compete. Athletes can compete in shorts and a t-shirt if they do not want to purchase our competition uniform.
• Practice Clothes: Athletes should wear shorts or sweats and a t-shirt to practice.
