TW Spring/Summer Wrestling Season

Freestyle / Folkstyle

Grades: (4th-12th Grade Combined Practices)

• Grades 4–8th (Boys & Girls): Intermediate/experienced wrestlers recommended. Practices will be geared toward experienced middle school & high school wrestlers.

• High School (Boys & Girls): All High School wrestlers recommended. Practices will be coached at a high school pace and level.

SPRING/SUMMER PRACTICE INFO:

• Locations: Jerome High School Wrestling Room / Twin Falls High school Wrestling Room

• TW Spring/Summer practices are a combined opportunity with multiple programs in the Magic Valley. To ensure strong numbers and quality practice partners, practices will rotate between Jerome High School and Twin Falls High School. Wrestlers should plan to attend practices at BOTH locations each week (Tuesdays in Jerome and Thursdays in Twin Falls).

PRACTICE SCHEDULE: (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

First Practice: Tuesday, March 24

• Tuesdays: Jerome High School — 5:00pm - 7pm (30-minute strength & conditioning at the end of each practice)

• Thursdays: Twin Falls High School — 5:00pm - 7pm (30-minute strength & conditioning at the end of each practice)

LOCATION / ENTRY INFO:

• Jerome High School Wrestling Room: Enter on the north side of the school by the football field, through the double doors, then go through the weight room.

• Twin Falls High School Wrestling Room: The blue detached building on the west side of the school property, north of the main entry parking lot.

SPRING/SUMMER SEASON DATES:

• March 24 – May 9: 7-Week Freestyle Session

  • April 4th: (TBD) Minico or Homedale Tournament - FS

  • April 11th: Kuna Tournament - FS

  • April 18th: Idaho USAW State Tournament - FS (Caldwell, HS)

  • May 8-9th: Western Regionals - FS (Farmington, UT)

• May 11 – May 30: 3-Week BREAK (No Practices)

• June 2 – June 27: 4-Week Freestyle/Folkstyle Session

  • June 11-13th: Jerome Wrestling Camp - Folk. (Jerome HS)

  • June 15-17th: Rocky Mountain Summer Duals - Folk. (Minico HS)

  • June 25-27th: Western States Championships - FS/Folk. (Pocatello, ID)

CLUB COMMUNICATION: (Band App)

PURCHASE A USA WRESTLING ATHLETE MEMBERSHIP:

• TW Wrestling is a USA Wrestling Chartered Club, which means all participants must have an active USA Wrestling Athlete Membership to attend practices. This membership helps protect TW Wrestling and its athletes and includes essential insurance coverage for both liability and secondary medical expenses.

• Spring/Summer tournaments are USA Wrestling-sanctioned, so this membership is also required for your athlete to compete in State/Regional events. If your wrestler plans to compete, you will need the Full Athlete Membership.
