LIABILITY WAIVER FOR TW WRESTLING
1. Acknowledgement of Risks:
By enrolling my child in TW Wrestling, I acknowledge the inherent risks associated with a physically demanding sport like wrestling. This includes, but is not limited to, the risks of serious injury, such as broken bones, torn ligaments, and other potentially long-lasting injuries, as well as the possibility of contracting communicable diseases due to close physical contact.
2. Acceptance of Responsibility:
I understand that wrestling is a high-intensity, cardiovascular sport requiring significant physical exertion and contact. I accept and assume all risks associated with my child's participation in TW Wrestling activities at Twin Falls High School and Jerome High School.
3. Release and Waiver:
I hereby release and hold harmless TW Wrestling, its agents, coaches, volunteers, and employees, as well as Jerome High School and Twin Falls High School, from any liability, claims, and demands arising from my child's participation in TW Wrestling activities. This includes any injuries or damages that may occur as a result of the inherent risks of the sport or any other risks associated with wrestling.
4. Agreement to Follow Policies:
I agree that my child will adhere to all safety guidelines and codes of conduct established by TW Wrestling and the hosting facilities. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in removal from the program.
5. Acknowledgement of Understanding:
I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. I am aware that by signing up my child for TW Wrestling, I am agreeing to the terms of this waiver and releasing legal rights on behalf of my child.
TW WRESTLING CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Respect and Conduct:
All members of TW Wrestling, including athletes, parents, and coaches, are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that positively represents themselves, their families, and TW Wrestling. Respect towards coaches, other athletes, parents, and officials is mandatory at all times.
2. Zero Tolerance for Bullying:
Bullying, in any form, is strictly prohibited. This includes physical, verbal, or cyberbullying. Our environment is one of support and encouragement.
3. Inappropriate Language and Behavior:
The use of vulgar, lewd, or offensive language is unacceptable, both in practice and during competitions. This applies equally to athletes and parents. Any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
4. Illegal Drugs and Substances:
The use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs and unauthorized controlled substances by any member of TW Wrestling is strictly prohibited. Athletes must adhere to a standard of clean and healthy living, recognizing that substance abuse can severely harm their health, well-being, and athletic performance. Compliance with this policy is critical to maintain the integrity and safety of our club.
5. Facility Respect:
Members must respect the facilities we use. This includes no vandalism, respecting equipment, and leaving the space as we found it.
6. Discipline and Coachability:
Athletes are expected to listen to and respect the directions of their coaches. Disruptive behavior that hinders the learning experience of others will not be tolerated. Coaches reserve the right to ask a disruptive athlete to leave the session.
7. Parental Conduct:
Parents are expected to uphold the same standards of respect and conduct as the athletes. Swearing and inappropriate behavior by parents will not be tolerated.
8. Consequences:
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion from TW Wrestling. Decisions regarding disciplinary actions are at the discretion of the coaching staff and, if necessary, the Board of Advisors.
